Staying safe with Minor League Baseball face masks
As cities and states across America enact or extend ordinances requiring people to wear face masks in public places, baseball fans looking to support Minor League teams have a variety of options. From California to Maine and several places in between, Minor League Baseball fans have plenty of options when seeking face masks. Updated: March 5, 2021, at 11:00 p.m. EST California League The Modest Nuts have two face masks with humorous takes on the year. Each mask costs $9.99. One features the team’s primary logo and the other has the team’s Copa de la Diversión logo. Additionally, the Nuts have a reversible neck gaiter with their primary logo and Copa identity for $11.99. The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes have a mask with the team’s primary logo for $15. The Stockton Ports have two face masks. One has primary logo for $10 while the the other features the team’s 5 O’Clock Dock identity for $14. Additionally, fans can buy both masks for $20. Carolina League The Carolina Mudcats have a mask with the primary logo below the team’s name for $15. The Down East Wood Ducks have a baseball-themed face mask with the team’s primary logo for $10. The Fayetteville Woodpeckers have face masks with their primary logo, alternate logo, and a 1970s throwback design. The alternate logo mask costs $12, but the other two designs are $10. Additionally, the Woodpeckers have a neck gaiter that can also be used as a cooling device for $25. The Fredericksburg Nationals have a neck gaiter with their primary logo for $14. The Lynchburg Hillcats have a neck gaiter with the team’s primary logo and text for $6. The Wilmington Blue Rocks have a mask with their secondary logo and one featuring Mr. Celery (read more here) for $14. Eastern League The Akron RubberDucks have a face mask with their primary logo for $10. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have a mask with its primary logo with the design on navy or white for $10. The Erie SeaWolves offer three designs, which include their primary logo, secondary logo on red or black, and their SnowWolves identity for $14. Additionally, the club has a youth mask with their mascot for $12. The Harrisburg Senators have a mask with their primary logo for $10. Fans can also buy a two-pack for $15 or a three-pack for $20. The Hartford Yard Goats currently have two masks for youths that feature their mascots Chompers and Chew Chew for $10. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have a face mask with the team’s primary logo for $18. The Portland Sea Dogs offer a mask with their primary logo for $9.99. The team also has a mask with the team’s primary logo on a red-and-black plaid fabric available for adults and youths. The Reading Fightin Phils have several face masks offered through Teespring for $15 each. One features a photograph of FirstEnergy Stadium while the other two have “R-Phils” written on the mask, one in on navy fabric and one on cream-colored pinstripe fabric. Additionally, the team has one featuring its new alternate identity: the Reading Hot Dogs. The Richmond Flying Squirrels have a trio of masks that feature their primary logo, “RVA,” and their Copa de la Diversión identity (Ardillas Voladoras). Proceeds benefit VCU Health’s Rainbow Society. Florida State League The Daytona Tortugas have a face mask featuring their primary logo on grey for $10, but sold out of the green mask. The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels have yet to play a game under their new moniker, but sold out of their face mask. International League The Buffalo Bisons have a face mask with their jersey logo for $10, which benefits the team’s foundation. The Charlotte Knights have face masks in five colors for $10 each and a bundle of four masks for $30. All proceeds benefit the Knights Care for CLT fund. The Columbus Clippers have a face mask with their primary logo for $7 and two gaiters for $16. The Durham Bulls have multiple masks (in adult and youth sizes), including a pair of holiday-themed designs The Gwinnett Stripers have a face mask with the team’s primary logo for $10. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have several face masks for $9 apiece and three holiday masks for $6. They have a trio of gaiters for $9. The Louisville Bats have a mask with their primary logo for $9.95. The Rochester Red Wings have face masks with a trio of designs in various colors for $10 each. Additionally, the club has a pair of youth masks for $8. The Syracuse Mets sold out of a mask with the team’s primary logo. The Toledo Mud Hens face mask features a quartet of the club’s logos while the youth mask shows a pair of mascots. Each mask is $14.95. The Pawtucket Red Sox and the Worcester Red Sox sold out of their three-mask bundles. The PawSox set had the team’s primary logo, the mascots, and a stylized “P.” The Woo Sox set had the team’s Smiley Ball character, a stylized “W,” and the name of the team’s future ballpark. Pawtucket has two masks for $14, one featuring the team’s stadium and another with its name. Additionally, the Worcester club has masks with the Smiley Ball character for adults and youths for $14. Midwest League The Beloit Snappers have two face masks for $10. The Bowling Green Hot Rods sold out of a neck gaiter, but now have a face mask with the primary logo for $15.. The Clinton LumberKings have two masks for $5 each. One is grey with the team’s name and the other is navy with the team’s primary logo. The Dayton Dragons sold out of a face mask with the team’s primary logo. The team also has a mask with its mascots and one with the dragon head for $12.95 each. The Fort Wayne TinCaps have two face cover options: a face mask featuring the team’s cap logo on black fabric and a neck gaiter with multiple cap logos on forest green fabric. Both face coverings are $12. The Lake County Captains sold out a face mask with the team’s primary logo. The Lansing Lugnuts sold out of masks with the team’s primary logo and Copa de la Diversión identity. Currently, they have one mask with the team’s secondary logo on black for $15. All proceeds benefited to the Capital Area United Way COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. The South Bend Cubs sold out of a face mask with the team’s primary logo. Currently the club has adult and youth (available in blue or pink) face masks for $8.99 and a neck gaiter for $14.99. The West Michigan Whitecaps have a face mask with the team’s primary logo for $16.99, but have sold out of the neck gaiter. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have a gaiter with a variety of logos for $14.99. New York-Penn League The Aberdeen IronBirds have a neck gaiter featuring the team’s mascot Jet on digital camouflage for $10. Fans can buy two for $15. The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have an adjustable face mask with the team’s primary logo for $10. The Norwich Sea Unicorns sold out of their face mask, but have a neck gaiter with two designs for $15. The Tri-City ValleyCats have face masks in five different colors. Each mask costs $12. Northwest League The Eugene Emeralds have two neck gaiters for $18 apiece. One has the team’s primary logo while the other has the team’s name. They also has a face mask for $12. In addition, the Ems have a program so fans can buy a mask and donate one to a local school. The Everett AquaSox currently have a mask with a mix of logos and another with a tie-dye design. Each is $16.99. In partnership with Baseballism, the Hillsboro Hops have a face mask featuring a variant of the team’s primary logo. All profits benefit Community Action. The Spokane Indians have a face mask with multiple logos for $14. The Tri-City Dust Devils have face mask and neck gaiter for $15 each. The Vancouver Canadians have a mask with their primary logo for $15 CAD (about $12 USD). Pacific Coast League The Albuquerque Isotopes have face masks with their primary logo on grey or red for $10 and purple for $16. In addition, the team has a mask with its Mariachis identity on black or teal for $16. They also have masks featuring their mascot for youths for $15 and adults for $16. The El Paso Chihuahuas have a face mask with their primary logo for $17.99. The Fresno Grizzlies have two face masks and one neck gaiter that feature the team’s primary and secondary logos. The Las Vegas Aviators have several face masks with adult sizes for $18 and youth sizes for $16, and neck gaiters for $12.99. The Memphis Redbirds have a mask with a secondary logo and one with the Memphis Chicks logo for $15. The Nashville Sounds sold out of a mask with the team’s primary logo. The Oklahoma City Dodgers sold out of a mask with “OKC” written on it, but have added two more face masks. The Omaha StormChasers currently have a mask with “SC” on a baseball-stitched mask for adults for $11 and youths for $10. Additionally, the team has an adult mask with the interlocking “SC” on navy for $13. The Reno Aces have a mask with the team’s “Biggest Little City” logo for $20.. The Round Rock Express have two gaiters for $20. One features the myth of the Hairy Man (read more here) and one has multiple logos. The San Antonio Missions have two gaiters for $14. One has the team’s primary logo while the other design is the team’s Copa de la Diversión identity. The Tacoma Rainiers sold out of a gaiter and face mask with the team’s primary logo, but have an on-field mask for $14.99. Pioneer League The Missoula PaddleHeads, who re-branded from the Missoula Osprey during the off-season, have three face masks and three gaiters. Each design is available in small, medium, or large. Face masks cost $13 and gaiters cost $15. Due to a limited supply the team is not selling either item online; however, people can email the team’s retail manager to purchase a face mask or gaiter. Additionally, fans can buy the masks and gaiters at the MSO Hub in downtown Missoula. South Atlantic League The Asheville Tourists have face masks with the team’s primary logo, the team’s Asheville Hippies, and one with multiple logos. Each mask is $14.95. Fans can buy a 2-pack for $25.95 and a 3-pack for $35.95. The August GreenJackets sold out of several face masks, but now has a gaiter with the team’s primary logo for $16. Proceeds have benefited the Golden Harvest Food Bank and the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The Charleston RiverDogs have a youth mask for $14. The Columbia Fireflies have a face mask with the team’s primary logo and one with their Copa de la Diversión identity for $12.50 apiece. The Delmarva Shorebirds have a two-pack of face masks featuring their primary logo for $20. The Greensboro Grasshoppers have a neck gaiter with the team’s primary logo for $15. The Greenville Drive have a mask with the team’s primary logo and a youth mask with the mascot’s face for $8 apiece. The Hickory Crawdads sold out of a face mask with the team’s name on a sky blue-and-white houndstooth pattern. However, they still have a mask with the team’s Llamas de Hickory identity for $12. The Jersey Shore BlueClaws have a three-mask bundle for $22. The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers sold out of a face mask with their primary logo for $7. However, the team now has a trio of masks that fans can buy as a bundle for $25 or individually for $10.
